Kent Enterprise Trust supports people, often with complex needs, into employment, training or volunteering. Our vision is that no one in Kent of employable age should be out of work because they have not had the opportunity to reach their full potential. An exciting opportunity has arisen to deliver practical outdoor education and work experience. The main focus will be to coordinate the day to day running of the site by:
• Leading the garden projects to develop the skills of our beneficiaries
• Supervision of contractors, apprenticeships, volunteers and beneficiaries
• Evaluating and developing training programmes
• Generating funding to make the role and project sustainable
• Building partnerships and community engagement
Kent Community Oasis Garden is the charities outdoor work experience and training site, it is also where we promote healthy living and eating for the local community. In 2018 we celebrated our 35th year and launched the opening of our new Canterbury site kindly sponsored by The University of Kent. There is real opportunity for the job holder to influence these developments.
