On Tuesday 3rd July 2018, Kent Enterprise Trust’s Garden Team held a Summer Garden Party at the Oasis Garden at the University of Kent. The Sun filled day started at 12pm and finished at 2pm. Members of the Serco team in Canterbury, along with Canterbury City Council, attended the party to deliver the donation to the Trust in person. The garden equipment and clothing will be well used and appreciated by volunteers and beneficiaries from Kent Enterprise Trust for years to come.
Emily Hill (Community Development Officer and Wellbeing Lead at Kent Enterprise Trust) said: “A huge thank you to Serco for donating all this garden equipment and clothing to our team. This allows the members of our team to experience challenges they have never come across before at the gardens.”
David Austin from Serco said: “It’s such an honour to help not only with this community project but to also support a charity that gives so much back to the community. We are also delighted to be offering training and work experience sessions designed to build skills to open up future job opportunities for the Trust’s beneficiaries.”
